When should I get a touchup? How much is it?
We offer a complimentary touch up between 6 – 10 weeks from your initial appointment to perfect the shape and color. Healed results vary from person to person so the touch up session allows us to make adjustments and perfect the brows as needed. We expect the brows to fade about 30% from the first session and also shrink about 10% all around. We can make the brows thicker and darker as desired. If you like the color, we can keep the same formula and just add another layer of color to reinforce the strokes or shading.
After that, It is recommended to return for annual or semi-annual color boosts. Maintenance touch-ups are typically needed every 1-2 years for combo/oily skin and up to 3 years for normal skin. Generally, most clients come back every 2-3 years. If you think it’s time for a touch up, please send us a photo and we can provide a link to book. If we feel that the color retention is still adequate, we will advise to wait longer before coming in.
What are the potential side effects and risks?
Mild swelling and redness immediately after the procedure.
Itching and mild scabbing during the healing process.
Infection or allergic reaction, although rare, can occur if aftercare instructions are not followed.
Skin will feel tight and may sting, similar to the sensation of a sunburn.

Can I choose the shape and color of my eyebrows?
During your in person consultation, we will discuss exactly what you are looking for with your new brows. You can show us photos of brows you like or even photos of how you fill in your own brows. We will take this into consideration before we start to map your brows. We will measure your facial features and custom design your shape based on your bone structure, as well as your requests. We will review the shape with you and can make any adjustments as needed. We will only start once the shape has been approved by you.
As for color, our pigments are the highest quality and we can match every type of hair color. Once we have determined what shade to use based on your brow color, hair color, and skin tone, we will custom mix a formula that will be a perfect match for your brows. We will typically do a true match on the first session with the expectation of the brows losing 20-30% of its intensity during the healing process. The final result will look like a softer and more natural version of the original color. We will assess the color again at the complimentary touch up appointment and can always go darker as needed. We prefer to build on the color versus going too dark and not being able to go back. Healed results always vary depending on the client, skin type, and lifestyle.
Who should avoid permanent eyebrow cosmetics?
Pregnant or nursing women.
Individuals with certain medical conditions or bloodborne pathogen diseases without medical clearance.
Those on certain medications such as blood thinners.
Individuals prone to keloids or severe scarring.
Clients who suffer from auto-immune diseases and skin conditions such as psoriasis

What is Permanent Eyeliner?
How long is the appointment?
Do I get to choose my shape?
Is the procedure painful?
The pain levels can vary from person to person. Some individuals may find it uncomfortable, while others may experience only minimal discomfort. During the procedure, a topical numbing cream is typically applied to the eyelids to help minimize any pain or discomfort. However, a mild sensation of the tattoo needle may still be felt as it deposits pigment along the lash line. If you’re concerned about pain during a permanent eyeliner procedure, you can discuss your options for pain management with your PMU artist beforehand, such as using additional numbing agents.
Overall, while some discomfort may be experienced during the procedure, many individuals find that the results are well worth any temporary discomfort, as permanent eyeliner can save time and effort in daily makeup application.

How long is the healing process?
Permanent eyeliner healing can vary from person to person, but generally, it takes about 7-14 days for the initial healing process. The color of the eyeliner may appear darker immediately after the procedure and then lighten as the skin heals. It’s normal for the color to settle and soften over the first few weeks. The full healing process typically takes about 4 to 6 weeks.
Right after your appointment, the treated area may appear swollen, red, and tender. Some individuals may experience minor bruising or bleeding at the site of the tattoo. This is normal and typically subsides within 24-48 hours. It’s essential to keep the treated area clean and dry to prevent infection. You may also experience some discomfort or itching as the skin begins to heal. You may notice scabbing or flaking of the skin around the tattooed area. It’s important to avoid picking or scratching at the scabs, as this can disrupt the healing process and affect the final result. Your PMU artist will provide you with aftercare instructions, including applying a healing ointment or cream to the eyelids. Be sure to follow all of the aftercare instructions provided after your appointment for optimal results. See aftercare instructions here:

What are the potential side effects and risks?
While permanent eyeliner is generally considered safe when performed by a qualified and experienced technician, there are potential side effects and risks associated with the procedure. These may include:
- Swelling and Tenderness: It’s common for the eyes to swell slightly after the procedure. Your eyes may feel tender or sore for a few days following the procedure. This discomfort can typically be managed with over-the-counter pain relievers and ice packs. This usually subsides within a few days.
- Allergic reactions: While rare, allergic reactions to the pigments or numbing agents used during the procedure are possible. Be sure to inform your PMU artist of any known allergies beforehand.
- Color changes: The color of the permanent eyeliner may fade or change over time due to factors such as sun exposure, aging, and the natural regeneration of the skin. Touch-up sessions may be needed periodically to maintain the desired color and intensity.
- Eye irritation: Some individuals may experience temporary irritation or discomfort in the eyes following the procedure. This may include symptoms such as dryness, redness, or watering of the eyes. These symptoms typically resolve on their own within a few days.

What should I expect during my consultation?
During the consultation, the artist will assess your skin type, discuss your desired outcome, and explain the procedure, including potential risks and aftercare. This is also a good time to ask any questions or show any reference photos you may have.
Can I choose the style and color of my permanent eyeliner service?
Styles and thicknesses can be customizable, from a subtle and natural look to a more dramatic and bold effect with a wing. We only offer black as the color for all eyeliner services. Options can be discussed during your consultation with your PMU artist. You can communicate your preferences for the style you are interested in, and we can provide recommendations based on our expertise and experience.
Why does eyeliner tattoo turn blue over time? Will this happen to me?
This can happen if the artist uses body tattoo pigment and implants the color too deeply into the skin. We use the highest quality permanent makeup pigments which have evolved over time and are pre-modified to heal true black. We also do not work as deeply into the skin so the pigment will not migrate over time.

Who should avoid Lip Blush services?
- Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: It’s generally not recommended to undergo cosmetic tattooing procedures, including lip blush, while pregnant or breastfeeding. The effects of the pigments on the fetus or infant are not well-studied, and there may be potential risks involved.
- Active Cold Sores or Oral Herpes: If you have active cold sores or oral herpes outbreaks, it’s best to wait until the sores have healed completely before getting a lip blush treatment. Tattooing over active cold sores can spread the infection and may lead to complications. If it is not active, the client should take preventative and post care to prevent flare ups by taking supplements or prescribed medication.
- Certain Medical Conditions: Individuals with certain medical conditions, such as autoimmune disorders, bleeding disorders, or skin conditions affecting the lips, may not be suitable candidates for lip blush. It’s essential to consult with a healthcare professional or dermatologist to assess whether the procedure is safe for you.
- Allergies or Sensitivities: If you have known allergies or sensitivities to tattoo pigments or topical anesthetics, it’s essential to inform your cosmetic tattoo artist beforehand. They can perform a patch test to check for any adverse reactions before proceeding with the full procedure.
- Recent Lip Fillers or Injections: If you’ve recently had lip fillers or injections, it’s generally recommended to wait until the lips have fully healed and settled before undergoing a lip blush treatment. This allows for better symmetry and prevents potential interference with the healing process.

What should I expect during my consultation?
Can I choose the shape and color of my Lip Blush service?
Yes. However, it’s important to work closely with your artist to ensure that the choices you make complement your natural lip shape and skin tone. They will determine the best lip shape based on your facial features and preferences. They will outline the desired shape before applying the pigment to ensure that you are happy with the result. The final shape has to be within the vermillion border of the lips to prevent uneven healing as the facial skin and lip skin are two different textures and can accept the pigment differently.
Lip blush pigments come in a variety of shades, ranging from natural pinks and nudes to deeper reds and berries. Your PMU artist will help you select a color that compliments your skin tone and achieve the desired look. Keep in mind that the color may appear darker immediately after the procedure and will lighten up to 50% as your lips heal. During your consultation with your PMU artist, you can discuss your preferences for both shape and color, and they can provide recommendations based on their expertise and experience. It’s important to communicate openly and clearly to ensure that you are satisfied with the final result.
Can the procedure be reversed or removed?
Lip blush, like other forms of permanent makeup, is designed to be long-lasting, but it’s not necessarily permanent. While the pigment is intended to fade naturally over time, there are some methods for removing or correcting lip blush if desired. Complete removal is more challenging and may require multiple sessions. We do offer two types of removal (link to removal page), that can aid in lightening the previous permanent makeup enough for us to work over and create new lip blush for you if necessary. Please click the link to read more about our removal service. (link)
It’s important to consult with a qualified and experienced PMU artist before attempting any form of removal or correction. They can assess your individual situation and recommend the best course of action based on your needs and goals. Additionally, it’s crucial to have realistic expectations about the results of removal or correction procedures, as complete removal may not always be possible, and multiple sessions may be required for significant changes.

Frequently Asked Questions For Tattoo Removal
What is Tattoo Removal?
Tattoo removal is the process of removing unwanted tattoo pigment from the skin. There are several methods for removal, each with varying degrees of effectiveness, cost, and potential side effects. We offer two different types of removal, which are:
- Angel Removal uses a gentle natural acid solution and a point injection technique to lift pigment from previous tattoo work. It Lifts up to 10-15% of pigment per session. Quantity of treatments may vary depending on age, saturation of pigment, and desired future PMU service. If multiple sessions are needed, they must be done 6-8 weeks apart. It involves minimal pain, light peeling and only 24 hours of downtime before you can go back to a normal routine.
- Alkaline removal is a tattoo removal technique that uses an alkaline solution to break down and remove unwanted permanent makeup pigments from the skin. During the procedure, the alkaline solution is applied to the treated area by using a tattoo machine and needle, which causes the pigments to lift and fade gradually. Alkaline removal is stronger than Angel Removal and can lift up to 50% or more of pigment per session. However, heavy scabbing will occur the first 2 weeks. If multiple sessions are needed, it is required to wait 12 weeks between sessions.

Who should avoid getting Tattoo removal?
While Alkaline and Angel removal can be a suitable option for many individuals, there are certain situations where it may not be recommended or appropriate. Here are some groups of people who may want to avoid removal:
- Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: It’s generally not recommended to undergo cosmetic tattooing procedures while pregnant or breastfeeding. The effects of this procedure on the fetus or infant are not well-studied, and there may be potential risks involved.
- Recent tattoos or skin trauma: Tattoo removal may not be suitable for individuals with recently tattooed skin or skin that is still healing from trauma, such as cuts, burns, or abrasions. It’s essential to allow the skin to fully heal before undergoing any tattoo removal procedure to minimize the risk of complications.
- Allergy to ingredients: Some people may have allergies or sensitivities to the ingredients used in alkaline or Angel tattoo removal solutions, such as saline solution or other chemicals. It’s essential to inform your tattoo removal specialist of any known allergies or sensitivities to ensure that the procedure is safe for you.
What should I do to prepare for my Removal appointment?
What is the aftercare process?
How long is the removal healing process?
The healing process for Angel Removal is more gentle, and has very minimal downtime with roughly 24hrs, and will lift up to 10-15% of pigment, so this option may need multiple sessions depending on skin type, and the depth of the ink, in which will need to come back for another session within 6-8 weeks.
Healing process for alkaline removal has a longer downtime, roughly up to 2 weeks, but can remove more pigment within one session. The area may appear red, swollen, and irritated right after your appointment, but this is normal and typically subsides within a few hours to a few days. As the skin begins to heal, you may notice scabbing or crusting forming over the treated area. This is the body’s natural response to the removal process and is a sign that the skin is regenerating. Over the following weeks, you may notice that the tattoo gradually fades as the ink particles break down and are eliminated by the body’s immune system. If more sessions are needed to lift desired results, your scheduled sessions must be 12 weeks apart to allow full healing.
What are the potential side effects and risks?
- Skin irritation: You may experience temporary skin irritation, redness, swelling, or discomfort at the treatment site. These symptoms are usually mild and subside within a few days.
- Hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation: Changes in skin pigmentation, such as darkening (hyperpigmentation) or lightening (hypopigmentation), may occur after alkaline tattoo removal. These changes are usually temporary but may be more pronounced in individuals with darker skin tones.
- Infection or allergic reaction, although rare, can occur if aftercare instructions are not followed.
What should I expect during a consultation?
During the consultation, the PMU artist will assess your skin type, discuss your desired outcome, and explain the procedure, including potential risks and aftercare. This is also a good time to ask any questions you may have.
How do I know if I need tattoo removal before a new tattoo service?
If the previous work is more than 50% saturated with pigment, it is recommended to proceed with removal to lift the color out of the skin before getting a new treatment. When the color is too dark and implanted deeply in the skin, it will not accept the new pigment and will reject the color. Therefore the client will experience poor healed results and it will completely fade away without covering the previous pigment. If you are unsure if you need removal or if the previous work is light enough to work over, please send us a photo.
