Frequently Asked Questions

Fine line tattoos are a modern and minimalist approach to body art, characterized by their thin, precise lines. The tattoos are created with a single or smaller needle grouping and allows for incredibly fine and detailed work. Whether it’s a tiny symbol or an intricate design, these tattoos are perfect for those seeking a subtle yet elegant way to express themselves.
Appointments for fine line tattoos start at 1 hour and go up based on how big or detailed the art is, and depending on the artist. The appointment includes a thorough in person consultation, before and after photos, desired image, the tattoo procedure, and instructions on how to care for your tattoo after the appointment.
Pain tolerance varies from person to person, so it’s essential to keep in mind that getting a tattoo does involve some level of discomfort or pain, as the tattoo needle penetrates the skin to deposit ink. Factors such as the sensitivity of the area being tattooed, the duration of the tattoo session, and individual pain thresholds can all influence the level of discomfort experienced. Many people describe the sensation of getting a tattoo as a slight burning, scratching, or stinging feeling. Some areas of the body may be more sensitive than others, such as the hands, feet, ribs, spine, or areas with thin skin and less muscle or fat.
Touch ups are more common with fine line tattoos because we are working at a more superficial layer of the skin that traditional tattoos, and using finer needles. Touch ups are not obligatory or included but can be booked as needed.

Fine Line Tattoos are technically traditional tattoos so they will last forever. However they may require touch ups over time to keep the color looking fresh. Clients may return for a touch up after 3-5 years, depending on skin type, detail of the tattoo, and lifestyle.

In certain areas of the body, there is more risk of fall out and fading.  Areas such as the hands are more susceptible to fading due to everyday use and water exposure. Excessive sun exposure can also cause more fading of the tattoo over time.

This can also happen if the client has an allergic reaction or does not follow the after care instructions.  We recommend providing truthful health history on the consent form and also following the detailed aftercare instructions for best results.

Depending on the situation, we can touch up or re-do the tattoo as needed.
